In this subject I have developed skills in visualisation and communication of architectural idea, space and form through sketching and technical drawings.
Project 1 (B): Tonal Values


Learning outcomes:

  • ​​Understood the different types of rendering.

  • Developed the skills and techniques of rendering.

  • Able to bring out shades and depth through rendering.

Project 2 (A): Orthographic Projections


​​Learning Outcome:

  • Record dimensions of actual building and translate them to scale into drawings.

  • Able  to apply architecture symbols into drawings appropriately.

  • Understood the use of line types and line weights to effectively communicate through drawings.

  • Understood the use of shades and shadow to create livelier drawings.

  • Improved sketching skills and able to communicate better through sketches.

  • Able to visualize space by studying the site.

  • Understood perspective and the existence of diminishing point.

  • Able to transform a site into a more communicative space.

Project 2 (B): Axonometric Projections


​​Learning Outcome:

  • Understood axonometric and learned the techniques to produce an axonometric drawing.

  • Able to illustrate a building and its details three-dimensionally.

Project 2 (C): Perpectives


​​Learning Outcome:

  • Understood perspectives and learned the techniques to produce one-point and two-points perspective. 

  • Able to express a space in three-dimension with vanishing points.

  • Able to use colours, shading and rendering to define the space.
