Part 1 - Analysing "Through the Eyes" of an architect/ urban designer/ theoretician
This project requires us to analyse a defined area from the perspective of a chosen architect/ urban designer/ theoretician. The area I have chosen is Putrajaya, Malaysia's administrative centre. I have also chosen Ebenezer Howard, a theoretician and urban designer, and applied his theories of a city into Putrajaya.

Part 2 - Analysing and Theorising Architecture
This part of the project requires us to apply architecture theories into a building from the chosen area and analyse the factors affecting the design of the building. The building I have chosen for this part of the project is Perdana Putra, the Prime Minister's Office. We were required to write a 2000 words essay and produce 3 summary boards for this project.

Through this project, I've had a better knowledge of the architecture theories and a better understanding of how the theories came about. The theories proposed by the architects/ urban designer/ theoretician are usually influenced by the social, cultural and intellectual context. I have also learned how to analyse a theory and apply it accordingly to an architecture or urban context. I am also able to identify theoretical issues which affects the design of an architecture. Ultimately, through reading and learning the architectural theories, I am able to form my own opinion regarding the theories and issues that surfaced from an architecture.
