Project 1 Defining and Documenting a Residential Construction Project
Project Duration: 8 weeks
In a team of 7, we are required to work together as different roles to do a project proposal. Among the different roles are Project Manager, Architect, Civil Engineer, M&E Engineer, Landscape Architect, Quantity Surveryor and Interior Designer. This project involves the application of the principles, issues and theories discussed thus far in the Project Management module, and their application into a simple construction project. The project assigned to my group is a 2-storey terrace house renovation project, where the owner of the house intends to extend and refurbish the house to increase the value of the house.

Project 2 Documentation of a Medium-Sized Project
Project Duration: 6 weeks
This project involves the documentation of student's Studio 6 Architectural Design Project from the point of view of a Project Manager as well as a client. The objectives of the project is to enable students to understand the application of management techniques in the control and direction of project resources. It also involves evaluating the dynamic changes which occur during a project’s life cycle and the nature of a project’s success. To do so, students have to understand the means of evaluating success and failure in a project’s performance. At the end of the project, I have learned and understood strategies for the execution of the development process in response to the client’s objectives.
